More About Us

Q Street Animal Hospital in Springfield, Oregon

Our Story

Q Street Animal Hospital was established in 1964 by Dr. Larry Mullarkey and his wife Elizabeth. They owned it for the following 40 years developing a wonderful and wide ranging clientele, caring for countless patients along the way. In 2005 the clinic was purchased by Drs Sean Bretschneider and Dr. Keri Swanson (married veterinary couple). Keri and Sean have 4 children and numerous pets of their own. We love raising a family here and owning a clinic here. This is our home and you are our valued clients. We will treat your pets like they were our own.

Commitment

All of us at Q Street Animal Hospital have great compassion for pets and the families that care for them. We have worked hard to bring together knowledgeable staff and doctors, a full range of diagnotstic, anesthetic, and surgical equipment, as well as a functional flow for the physical hospital. We frequently attend Continuing Education courses to keep our knowledge current and we reinvest in the clinic to upgrade equipment and the facility. Our passion is to provide the best possible care for your pets.

Community

We have a strong belief in reducing the overpopulation of pets. We've been involved with Greenhill Humane Society. Dr. Swanson served on the board of directors and helped develop the current spay and neuter facility. We are also involved with Lane County Animal Service. We have volunteered time doing spays and neuters for feral cats. We have worked hard to structure our own clinic protocols to facilitate convenient and affordable spays and neuters.

Vision Statement

Our practice vision statement is to provide personalized care while conveying an exceptional level of professionalism, compassion, and competence that gives each individual client the peace of mind to know that their pet is receiving the best possible care.
